You'd think that people you see nearly every day would tell you, during your intense discussions about WoW, that they left your guild. Instead, I had to find out when my guild members are all annoyed that people left to join exlusively raiding guilds. That's three people in the last few months.

One was expendable, since all he cares about is other people doing things for him. The second one is so-so, but I consider him a friend, so it's disappointing. And the third was our guild's MAIN healer, so I've been relegated to sort of being the healer, even though I'm a Retribution Paladin.

Grr. Annoyances.

It's worse when they get ready to leave the server and surprised you aren't going along.

Very unfortunate but even after hanging out with the same people for a year or longer ingame... they still consider you an anonymous face on the internet, not a person who cares what they do or what they say.

Lol, actually, I work with two of the people who left. So, the fact that neither of them told me is even more surprising. Especially since one isn't (or so I thought) very good at hiding things. Color me stupefied (and a little embarrassed that people who don't see these guys irl knew more than I did)

As far as the server goes... they uprooted from a different server to come to this one they're on now... Personally, I'm hesitant about spending the money for the transfers in the first place, and I'd rather create anew than move a fully established character.

But I'm weird and don't like uprooting character stories as if they never existed
