Hey~ Original fic by me. It has original characters that are copyright of me <3 And some that are owned by Trey-chan. Most people won't be interested in this, but please feel free to read anyway ^^; Even if it's just a little bit...

It was a lovely spring break day. The sort of day where the sun was shining, and birds were singing outside your window. If you were especially careful, you could even open your window and watch them as they bounced happily along the branches, singing their wake-up call.

Spring had quite literally sprung, and already there were little green buds where leaves would soon pop on all the trees, sending the view into a mass of greenery. It'd probably block any other view from the window, but that was okay, for you could always see plenty in the bustling environment of the leaves.

Shuuichi awoke to sunlight warming his face, since his bed was closest to the window. He stretched, letting out a pleased sound as he sat up in bed. Brining a hand up to rub at his eyes, he took a quick glance around the room, noticing that his roommate was nowhere to be seen. But the bathroom door was closed, and he could hear the shower running, so that had to be where he was.

Stifling a yawn, the petite boy slid his legs off the bed and stretched once more as he sat. Then, he pushed himself off the bed and moved over to the window; he'd probably still be able to see the huge clock in the middle of campus. It was more work than just looking at his alarm clock, which daintily sat on his dresser next to his bed, but it was more fun looking at the clock outside.

As he stood by the window, he heard the bathroom door open. "Oh, good morning, Shuu," Mitsuru greeted him, towelling dry his hair.

Shuu turned around, leaning his weight against the window sill, and offered his roommate a smile to match the beams of sunlight coming through their window. "Good morning, Mitsuru!"

"You're in high spirits today, I see," Mitsuru laughed, slinging his towel over his shoulder. He shook his head to get rid of some extra droplets, which caught the light like diamonds.

Merely raising his eyebrow at his friend's 'dramatic' water display, Shuuichi just shrugged. "Well, I am. I can't quite explain why, but I think today is going to be a good day." The sun was shining, he woke up without an alarm, he didn't have to go to class, and he could even possibly work on some new recipes. What was there to not be happy about?

"Gonna run off to find Obsidian today?"

Shuu paused in his third stretch of the morning, and looked at Mitsuru. He made a thoughtful noise, and tapped his chin. "Mmm... Nah. It's a nice day, so he'll probably want to get a good workout today. I'll probably just be a distraction."

Mitsuru moved over to his dresser as Shuu talked, and started to pull out his clothes for the day. "That's something you've never said before." He looked over his shoulder at his roommate, who only turned back to the window. "Did something happen that you're not telling me about?"

He hadn't expected Shuu to giggle in response. "Nothing happened, Mitsuru. I just don't ALWAYS have to follow Obsidian-sama around. I have other friends..."

"That's news to me... About the first part that is..." He picked out a white turtleneck, and followed it soon with a pair of dark blue jeans. Soon, he was completely dressed, and combing his hair. "So... what are you going to do today, then?"

"Well, I was thinking of seeing if Toui was free. And if he wasn't... well, I was going to come back here and get some recipes worked on." Shuu counted off on his fingers as he said this, pausing only to push his bangs out of his eyes when they obscured his vision.

Mitsuru nodded. "I was going to spend some time with Shiyou today. So I'll probably be out for most of the day." He frowned then, giving Shuu a slight look of concern. "Will you be okay by yourself?"

Shuuichi scoffed, and waved the question off. "I can handle it quite well. I was alone during the time we fought, remember?" Mitsuru nodded, but continued frowning. "I KNOW that bad things happened to me then, but it's different now. So shoo, go off with your cute little 'friend,' and have a good time," the purple-haired boy said with a grin.

Blushing, Mitsuru nodded. "I'll see you later tonight then, Shuu. Don't get in trouble."

"I won't. Scouts honor!" Ignoring the fact that he wasn't a scout, he'd still keep his promise.

I was hoping Shiyou'd be happy :33

Obsidian-sama! Don't feel rejected! Shuu just doesn't want to bother you! ^^;;; Maybe if you catch him walking around, you can spend some time with him ^_- It's not like he's going to AVOID you. He's just not going to actively seek you out. He's only thinking of your benefit :D
