Real-time Lunar play-through (1 / ? )

Okay, so, the opening movie is the same (whew), but the song is different. I am sort of comforted, since the last version had completely rewritten songs by the Working Designs people, because... they felt they were better able to capture the feeling of the game than the original song writers. ... I am not making this up - the making of DVD from the original had them say this +_+;;

OKAY. So, this play-through is after playing the demo, so I have clear data. I'll try to figure out what I actually get from that 8|

Right away, there is a scene from way back when, when Althena (who is THE goddess of the world you live on) was captured back in Dragonmaster Dyne's time! Eiphel (like the tower, I guess) is some maked villain guy that was never mentioned in the first one, as far as I recall, so this is an entirely new scene +v+ I do not like Althena's voice, she sounds incredibly too young 8V

Fornacheron. ... I don't know what the fuck this is, but apparently, Eiphel wants to toss Althena in there o_o Perhaps it is what would allow Eiphel to become the god that he oh so wants to be.

LOL. Dyne. What a... What a voice. "I WON'T LET YOU >8B" Lol, okay, I know he's got this >:D look in his avatar, but those teeth aren't glued together, speak like you mean it, Dyne ;;; She is your lady-love (though if I had my way, you'd be bangin Germani--er, I mean Ghaleon).

!!! G-Ghaleon-sama +w+ Your voice. It's normal! ;w; Y-Yaaaaay~

DERP HELL MEL. THE SCOTTISH ACCENT LOLS. Okay, I knew he had that kind of accent but I didn't expect it hahahaha. I also didn't expect Lemia to fall out of the sky and crush Mel like that 8D; But it was pretty funny (and, uh, Lemia was actually pretty cute before she got older and grumpy 8| )

Oh! More exposition! When Lemia and Mel showed up, Eiphel is most surprised to see them "The both of you were most certainly dead!" I wonder what happened!!

P-Pft. Ghaleon. You are too cute 8B Don't be such a whiner. ... Though, your hair is beautiful, so I will focus on that.... Ah~ now I am totally seeing him as Germania ;w; (by the way, later in the game, you are told his only friends now are fairies 8| I-Is that connected to you, Arthur?) And Dyne as Romaji. Sob ;w;

Oh. Fight time. Against Eiphel and the Five Black Star Princes... or something (though one of them had a woman's voice so I dunno...) Let's see what these Four Heroes can do! Okay, so for some reason, Ghaleon is the healer as well as the stat buster. Lemia seems to be the mage, having ice, fire, and arcane style magic. Dyne is the tank and stat booster, while Mel is the major dps. Just by buffing his attack once, he did almost 700 damage...

Because he's pretty dumb, apparently, Eiphel is surprised when the weird demon creatures betray him because he's not strong enough to best the Four Heroes. Though, for some reason, the Four Heroes talk to him like they might have known him.. When the Five Black Stars take him over, and completely warp his body, Mel and Lemia are pretty upset. Ghaleon continues to not care unless it involves Dyne 8) Goes right to calling Eiphel "it" haha

And just as we're about to be smooshed...! Althena starts singing (with 'ha's instead of 'la's which sounds a bit awkward). Eiphel of the Black Stars is like "wtf, is that Althena?" Duh, yes it is. ;;; However, it says there is no power in the song, so it's not technically restorative. But Dyne stands up! As do the others, saying it's the song Althena sang as she travelled with them, keeping them strong.

Into battle we go. Against Neo-Eiphel, and the Five Princes? As seperate entities, somehow.... Anyway, no concern, because Althena's song has fully healed us, and we have A LOT of group attacks >83 And this battle song is neat, because it's a mix of the normal battle song, and Althena's song, kind of like a remix.

Once beaten, now the Leviathan (where we are underwater? The old one was on top of a mountain or some such) begins to shake! Dyne runs up to the chamber where Althea is held, slicing the door open. Everyone (read as Mel and Lemia) rejoices, and Dyne dorks the hell out. Ghaleon... is right on task, ruining the happy party with the fact that the world's about to collapse in on itself from losing her love and power.

Althena has decided to head to the Goddess Tower (ah, there we go) so she can stop the Black Star, and save the world. Vane, meanwhile, is apparently holding it off on their own right now. (Vane is a floating city of mages - hello Dalaran)

They all go off like little ducklings, and Ghaleon holds off before starting to follow... but, then the floaty mask of Eiphel "prophesizes" to Ghaleon. Saying that Ghaleon will fall into ruin. ... Jeez, thanks floaty mask. Thanks for killing the party EVEN MORE. Ghaleon zaps the mask, and heads off, pissed 8|

..... and this was all a story being told to child!Alex, our true hero! \o/

8| GLKHG I missed this game so much. First scene, complete!
