I feel like hell... I know other people work for a lot longer each week than I do but... I was just at the office for 11.5 hours... And the first thing in the morning, we had a meeting about how bad management thinks we suck.

I got home at 7:30. Had to eat and such, so I ended up getting to bed at 8:45. I just got up now, and I still feel sick ><;

The only positive I can think of is that I got 4.75 hours of overtime this week. But that's completely counteracted by Monday, because my temp agency does not pay for holidays, no matter what. So... although I got more this week, I'm missing a whole day next week automatically.

And... it's looking like I'm gonna have to get my car this weekend.

It's hot. I hate today. I feel like I could sleep forever, and not be rested.

Which car did you decide on?

I'm still driving my neon, but sort of looking at new cars in case it dies (knock on wood, I hope it doesn't)... Actually I was sort of sad that you didn't like the Scion tC, because that's sort of my frontrunning choice based on price and looks....

And don't think you're being bratty or something because 11.5 hours is a long day to you...you do a lot of work in what is kind of a crappy situation for you, and I can certainly sympathize with doing a job that really below your level, not getting paid very well, and having management that doesn't do shit except complain about you and fuck things up that you could do better than them. There's no moral relativism in that--it's just the freakin truth.

My friend who has an elementary teaching degree was working in a daycare over the summer making like $11/hr, and getting lots of overtime too. She took a less-paying job in a school district as a teacher's aide to try to get her foot in the door since hardly any education graduates got real teaching jobs last year. She just found out that the district is not asking her, or any of the other aides (who, for the most part, have the same degrees as the actual teachers, just less experience) for interviews for openings....Back to square one...She's sent out like 100 resumes all over NJ, (just like we all did last year) and heard nothing back yet....The job market is so messed up!!

Well... I'm probably gonna get the Honda Civic. It depends if it's monstrously awful in the test drive tomorrow (I was *supposed* to go out Saturday, but my brother had a baseball tournament yesterday ><; )

Well, I like the look of the Scion tC, but the driver's seat wasn't comfortable for me. You're a little shorter than I am, so it might be more comfortable for you :3 I would recommend at least trying it out! Lol, the Scion xB is hideous, but I *love* sitting in it. It's SO comfortable!

I know... Management does nothing but give us different stories each and every time we ask them stuff. They'll tell us to do one thing one week, and then yell at us the next week because we did that. They've now told us that they don't want us moving around the office AT ALL. I mean... at all. They're like "that's what we have e-mail for!" ... Yeah, as though you can just leave a customer on hold for 20 minutes while you wait for some person to check their e-mail and THEN draft up a reply!

Man, that sucks! D: We gotta get outta this state, you know? Maybe things are better in other states.
