Wow, went to that guy's page and saw the character for Punz he made. ... "a good old ghey punk" was his description of the kid in the most basic form... o.o;;
Ano... First, no one in Punz was dressed like that in the reference he had because they were all in school uniforms. Second, I don't know how popular the 'punk' scene is in Japan, especially in a private school where a good portion of the students are rich, or at least well off... At least, Mitsuru's rich, and Shuu is reasonably well off. Mafuyu's just really damn smart XD; Though his father is a big executive... Seijuro got there due to his artistic talent, but is in no way poor (not that he could afford the school otherwise o.o;; )
So, yes, that explains why...
As for the liking Obzy thing... :3;; Well. Join the club, I say. Or rather, he'd probably have problems because all the people who like Obzy are really prissy and catty. XD;; He'd be heckled by the Jewel Collectors just on the fact that he doesn't really fit in (I mean with them)...
Ah well. In short, I don't know. There's not really much depth to the character, ya know? I mean... Maybe if there was more TO the character, I think it'd seem more appealing. But as it is, he's apparently coasting on the fact that the kid's the only 'punk' in the universe (though, really, Shuu is actually quite the delinquent). :/ I don't even really know how punks are supposed to act...

We were talking about immortality verses eternal youth today in English. Oh, Homunculus would have been proud of me. I do believe I was able to raise points that he would be inclined to say (granted I'm not as smart as he is, nor as eloquent). Ha ha, I thought about Dr. Wagner, and how he was saying he envied Eike's youth... Mrr, you got your eternal youth >3 The 'darkness of eternal youth' as Homunculus would say...
