Bright and early for the daily races

Almost hit the next tier in fishing in WoW last night, stopped for a moment to finish the cooking daily so I could start it as soon as the server reset..... and totally forgot today is the maintenance day. Dammit, so I had to go to bed with one point in fishing to go... Lame. Now I'm waiting for the download; not long, but still meh. (EDIT: They extended the maintenance period by two hours. Fail... It was surely Old Crafty's fault. He knew I was close on his trail, and he wanted to stall me!)

It's been relatively warm lately. I'm all for 45 degrees. We'll probably catch temperature hell for it, but at the moment, it's lovely. I want spring to hurry up and get here.

Because I wanted to work on my DK's backstory, I actually created a hunter character in WoW. Yeah, because I'm SOOOO far on my other alts that I had to make another one. yeah. I need to stop making extra characters just because I want more stories. It's awesome, though, having a ranged character that runs around with a bow and can kill things before they even manage to get near you (something my poor Pally cannot do, sadly).

Suppose I'll try X-blades while I'm waiting for the maintenance to finish. Not that I don't want to play it, but meeeeh, I wanna reach the level of fishing. I stopped my advancement through Call of Duty 4 so that I could get this done, for crying out loud. (By the way, I'm not sure if most of you are aware of my goal with the Call of Duty games; I'm gonna finish all of them on Veteran mode, which is the hardest mode, without lowering the level. Ever. Show up all the guys I work with 8| Only one of them has most of the achievements in CoD4, but has only played that one.)

EDIT: X-blades looks pretty enough, the animation reminds me of the later Wild Arms games, only with more detail in the surroundings. However, it's only got English or French for the dialogue. During the opening movie, no one actually *talked*, they just made sim-like sounds of appraisal/approval/concern/interest... And I actually kinda liked it. Still gonna give the hack and slash a try, but the text in this game is extraordinarily tiny and is very hard to see on my tv.

EDIT 2: Some of the attacks look like fully rendered versions of Laharl's attacks from Disgaea. Very weird to see, actually. But the controls are excellent. The camera and Ayumi's movement are completely separate, so you can run in one direction and look in the other. Attacking is very much like controlling Dante from Devil May Cry, or one of the Musou fighters. I'd have to say, I'm already having more fun with this game than with the Tomb Raider one, even though Ayumi is... kind of a bitch. It's a little off-putting, but when she doesn't talk, she's a lot better! (Her outfit doesn't cover ANY of her ass, though o_o;)

I'm hungry. I think I'll go rummage in the kitchen for something to munch on.

America rocks. I feel bad that the mangaka is sometimes kinda anti-America, and a lot of the fans seem to get annoyed by him too. (Even though i like him, I think Italy is way more obnoxious sometimes.)

I hope to get use out of him (my poor rogue has been there forever, and he only just hit level 13), but I have trouble pulling myself from my main...

I would be nervous even joining an rp server, let alone an rp guild. D: I'm way too shy for that ._.; BUT, good luck! What kind of character is your druid?

I wouldn't worry at all about joining an RP server. They're really very much like PvE servers with a better ratio of nice people and better names. :P

The RP guild bit though is a new one for me. You know my history of roleplaying, but this is going to be my first time RPing based in the WoW world, so it should be interesting.

The druid, Aillwind, is my hunter's sister. She fell into the great thousands-of-years-long hibernation like the rest of the druid population and the Nightmare was very rough on her, as nowadays she's pretty much gone feral, preferring her feline form to her elvan form. Her hunter sister has been trying to help her reintegrate into Night Elf society, and the Alliance as a whole, so is hoping the Retribution of Arathor will help give Aill purpose and guidance.

Well, I just don't know the rules of rp servers is all, I guess... Like... you're in character all the time, correct? Do people have ways of being out of character? Things of that nature.

I'll read the full thing tomorrow (why am I still up? lolz), but it sounds interesting! I only vaguely know of the Nightmare, not being a druid nor an alliance-player (though, I do have a nelf druid sitting over on some... server or another)... but I definitely know it's a very bad thing. It's still an ongoing thing, right?

Those are the rules of an RP server, yes. Public and general chats are supposed to be IC, player names have extra rules on them... but no RP server I've joined has ever had those things actually followed by the general populace for longer than a month or two.

An RP server really is just a PvE server with more naming rules. :P OOC depends on the player, using extra brackets or other markers, such as RP flag addons set to IC or OOC.

Lol, well, that's comforting. To be fair, though, the people that got me into WoW are definitely not rpers... not in the slightest... Though, I'm getting one of them into the whole rp scene, mwahaha.

I'm in the midst of reading the Warcraft Archives, with Rhonin and Krasus (ee, he's so cool). There's just so much to learn.

To be fair, he's probably just picking up on the feelings of a lot of other countries. But Canada sure has a lot of mean things to say D< I actually don't like him; everyone (fans) treats him like he's so cute and sweet and nice, and I think he's just bitter >:|

I don't dislike Italy.. or rather, I think he's really good comic relief (god, I loved the WWII strips with him "HIIII ENGLAAAND!" ) Little annoyed with the whole cross-dressing when younger thing, though ._O I mean... he seriously thought that was proper attire? (I think it's cute when Germany tugs on his ero-zone, and he doesn't say anything. SO CUTE)

I recall you saying you paired KoreaxChina, and... someone else? Who else do you pair?

Ah! I don't like Canada, either. 8D;;; I also think he is bitter. Italy Veneziano is okay, I guess? Not my favorite, though I'm liking him a lot in the anime, so far.

My top pairings are: USxUK, SpainxItaRoma (I loooove this pairing. I think it's silly), and PolandxLithuania. I also like: AustriaHungary, PrussiaHungary, GreeceJapan, KoreaChina aru... And That's it so far? I like the relationship with Germany and ItaVen, though not enough to ship it? I think they could be friends. (ItaVenxJapan interests me, perhaps, if only because ItaVen being seme is cool)

I'm weird; therefore! I must say that I actually pair either AmericaJapan, or AmericaLithuania (I blame the outsourcing comic, completely) GermanyItaly (which, yeah, I know there are two Italies... maybe I'll just be difficult and say threesome! >|;; ) is a complicated pairing that I can't really say why I like it... just that... it's the closest thing to a pairing I can see for Germany and I actually like him o_o; I dunno, it's probably not a likely couple, but I'll stick to it! lol.
