New series
:O Here's some art for a new series I'm making with Trey-chan. It's still new, so a lot is still in the works. I'll just jot some info down in case any of you reading this are interested.
Alistaire-san is an alien. But he's hiding it because of the strict regulations of the space colony. He keeps his eyes shut because his species doesn't have eyes, but it would look weird for a human to not have them. Although he speaks perfect Earthian, he doesn't quite get many of the customs. He is often doing research so as to not make others uncomfortable. He has an unrequited love for Kelsey (one of Trey's charas)
As far as the picture goes... he looks too much like Fuji (Prince of Tennis). Aside from that ._. I don't think I made his pants 'light' enough. I do, however, love the pose for him, and I like the arms 8D
Arthur's the son of this big important guy 8D I'm... not sure what his father does EXACTLY, but he's important... and sorta strict since his wife died. Arthur has a twin sister who's pretty much the apple of his father's eye; Arthur does everything he can to catch his father's attention... even... uh... dressing like this :9;; He openly pursues Zephyr (one of Trey's charas), because Zephyr is the only one who hasn't fallen to his charms.
The hands are pretty bad. And I tried not to make him look TOO much like Toriya and Hikaru combined. Obviously, I failed, and now he looks like a giddy Atobe (Prince of Tennis again). I do, however, think I managed to make him look thin despite the jacket obscuring his figure.
Berith is part of what will become 'the New Order.' He's seemingly uninterested in most people, though he seems to have a decent relationship with Simon (one of Trey's characters). Perhaps it's only because they seem to have the same ideals, or maybe it's something more. In any case, he's from a pretty high tier of society, and doesn't express himself too much. When he does speak, he tends to be elegant.
His outfit looks a little weird XD; But for the most part, I think he came out okay. I might end up changing his outfit some.
Daniel is a pilot in training. He's callous to everyone around him because of his job; he doesn't want to have friends in case he dies in battle. That way, no one would mourn his death. He longs to have friends, and almost considers stepping out of the pilot's training to do so. His grandfather is a reknowned pilot that helped the colony become established. He loves cats.
He looks too pudgy because I didn't carry off his outfit properly 8D; And his hair is supposed to swish the other way; this way makes him look too much like another original character of mine, Shuuichi. ._.
Jax is a task master for the aliens working in the fields. In actuality, he likes aliens, and is only harsh whenever his bosses are around. He may have a cool name 'Jax Quark' but he's really just from a regular family from Earth 8D He started wearing the visor because of the weird colony lighting... but now it's just for looks!
His right (our left) leg is screwy. Wrong length and all. I could fix it... probably. And his lifted had looks bad too :< But I do like how I worked out his jacket 8D
Lloyd is well... just a regular fifteen year old. He loves to skateboard, and hates the stuffy jacket he has to wear. He's pretty blunt, and says exactly what's on his mind. Able to pick up on hostility directed towards him, he'll usually shrug it off, because he doesn't care if you like him or not. He can be pretty defensive of people he cares about.
His back foot is shaped pretty weird. And yes I realize his shorts go up pretty high. But that's part of the uniform, comprende? His shoes are designed after my own 8D ... and they STILL came out funky. His hair is supposed to be more fluffy too..
Milreth is an alien refugee. He doesn't speak very much Earthian, which is why he's rather quiet. He's not shy, but he's afraid of being turned in, or of saying the wrong thing. He can be lively when he's not in a hostile environment.
I know he looks pretty girly, but he's supposed to look elfin and ethereal. :<
Robinson is the resident mysterious guy. No one really knows why he's there, or what he is thinking about. ... Or why he walks around without a shirt. But he's very friendly and kind. He's also pretty tall. Noone knows his first name, and he does everything he can to avoid people learning it.
The crotch! The horrible crotch :< His hands are ugly too. But... the rest of him looks okay.
Hopefully, my uncreative character designs (which all look like characters already elsewhere) will be overshadowed by their eventually fleshed out personalities.... or at least we can all hope, right? 8D I will try hard to not let their personalities blend into stereotypical personalities ^^; Let's hope I can carry it off, deshou?
Of course, drawing these reminds me of why I rarely draw full-bodies 8D I start to dislike everything about them quicker than, say, headshots :9;;;;
